Chapter: seven Is a Boycott of Aruba Justice for Natalee?

This question is an important one that I hope to explore during this chapter. Why did the boycott of Aruba begin, why does it continue today and how is this really showing justice for Natalee?
Today it has been four years since Natalie went missing. There are still several on line sites that were created for the purpose of participating in a boycott of Aruba. There are also several websites that have on line petitions encouraging people to show their support for a boycott against Aruba. At recent travel shows there have been a small but mighty group of boycotters that have gone from show to show trying to effect some negative impact on any travel to Aruba until this case is solved. for some of these people it has become such a ritual that they are now going back to shows for the second year in a row. They have literature to pass out, they offer T shirts in honor of Natalee and they say they will not stop this boycott until Natalee is found.
How did this all get so far beyond what is the norm with the case of one missing person? There are many unsolved cases all over the world and certainly an infinite amount in the United States alone. If one was going to consider a boycott of an area each time something is not resolved the boycotts would be endless. What made this case so unique that it garnered this kind of unique loyal supporters? Why do these people continue their actions after three long years? Do they honestly believe that what they are doing is of any value to Justice as they say for Natalee? When will this end?
Dr. Phil launches boycott of Aruba
And how did the Dr. Phil Show in September of 2005, with the shocking revelation of the Jamie Skeeters taping of Deepak Kalpoe, fuel the boycott of Aruba? Within a month of that show, Governor Riley of Alabama will join Natalee's parents Beth and Jug Twitty and Dave Holloway and call for a boycott. They will be covered by all the cable news shows like Nancy Grace, Dan Abrams and Rita Cosby almost nightly. Art Wood would write a letter for the families demanding changes in the investigation, in Aruba. Joe Mammana would step forward with a reward for a million dollars and a promise to "bring hell to Aruba." Boycott Watch would add Aruba to the array of places to boycott. Things indeed seemed to be heating up in the Holloway case.
