Beth Twitty says she was alerted by a member of the media that Deepak Kalpoe was working at a local Internet cafe, and she wasted no time confronting him taking of course MSNBC with her.

“There were customers on the computer and he was seated behind the cash register, and I guess he thought he was going to have a normal day at work. “I wanted to ask him, Joran had admitted sexual assaults that he had committed against Natalee, and I wanted to ask Deepak: Did he participate, or did he try to help her? “He couldn’t answer me. He could only look down at the ground.” “I expected him, if he had no involvement, if he was not a participant in the sexual acts committed against my daughter, that yes, he could have come forward and said, ‘No,’ and looked me in the eye. He couldn’t do that. |
I remember thinking at the time I was surprised that Beth actually went into the Internet Cafe to confront Deepak. Somehow I just do not think she would have been able to do something like that in our country. She said she happened by, but taking a film crew with her seems rather disingenuous to beleive. Maybe if she had taken just a close friend, it would be more believable and sincere.
She thinks his refusing the money offered, proves guilt. That made no sense. Maybe he refused the money simply because he is not guilty and has nothing more to say about that night. The fact that he would not look her in the eye only tells me that he was uncomfortable with her intruding on his place of work. And again a wise person listens to his lawyer about speaking about this case to anyone involved. Sadly though Deepak would forget that later when he meets up with Jamie Skeeters.
after Greta and Beth went to the Van der Sloots, the month before, Beth felt that she could do almost anything.
Beth explains in much detail to Greta about her conversation with Deepak. She thought that if Deepak was not involved in what happened to her daughter he would surely have admitted this. Of course it is very clear that Deepak's attorney had wisely told him never to discuss this case with Beth or anyone else, until it was resolved legally. So even though some people would give Beth high praise for her aggressive perseverance in trying to find answers, there were those that felt this might have been more for show without any hope of true value.
Beth returned to the Internet Cafe for the second time, but on this day Deepak was not there. She said it was to put the Poster about the Missing Natalee in the cafe, as it had been hanging there originally, and Deepak said the owner took it down.
Beth discusses in the above video the complaint that she hears has been filed against her from Deepak Kalpoe. Jug Twitty offers his concerns for his wife alone in Aruba while he has returned to Alabama.
