Art Wood helps Jossy

Amongst his claim to fame is helping Jossy find the gardener, by learning of the infamous domino game in prison. This key development occurred when Wood heard a jailhouse story that Deepak Kalpoe had turned pale, then angry, during a dominoes game when another inmate provided accusatory hearsay. The inmate said a relative told him about a gardener's claim he'd seen the three suspects on a racket club roadway at 2:30 to 3 A.M. the day Holloway vanished. Bingo Art Wood had found just what Jossy had been looking for a true break through in the case.

He also is responsible for finding a "belt" that he claimed belonged to Joran. It was found near the lighthouse area of Aruba. It has been stated that this belt, was never sent for DNA testing, determined too old and too long to have belonged to Joran.

Art Wood will make the nightly rounds discussing his big "belt find."

Here is one of the more lengthy discussions about this belt that Jossy and Art were certain would offer significant evidence of Joran's involvement. This is from Rita Cosby, Live & Direct, MSNBC, August 12, 2005.

Rita compares the belts.

Rita Cosby wraps up this segment by showing the pictures of the two belts several more times. First she will show the belt found by Art Wood, and then compare it to Joran's belt in the picture that was on line with friends. Art Wood says to him there was great significance of this belt being found in an isolated area. That is why he turned it over to the authorities. Art believes firmly that when you compare this belt with the one of Joran's they certainly are very familiar. And of course he got to compare this belts in person which gives his words more credibility.
