Aruba: no physical evidence; no body; no crime scene; no confessions; no meaningful eyewitnesses, no video; no motive; no murder weapon; weak circumstantial case; multiple lies, false witnesses and bogus evidence, etc. sending the investigation on false trails; Joran is the homeboy-(apparent) victim is the tourist; Joran's father is affluent (by local standards) and influential (to at least some degree). Peru: mountains of physical evidence; body; crime scene; confession; eyewitnesses; videotapes; motive; murder weapon; solid circumstantial case; no lies, false witnesses or bogus evidence to weed through (at least as far as we know); Joran is the tourist; victim is the local girl with the affluent, influential father. |

Stephany Tatiana Flores Ramirez, found dead in Peru, was Joran involved in her death?
Just as this story was turning the corner on five years and it seemed there might not be any more news all hell breaks lose once again, this time in Peru. I apologize for being a day behind on entering information but yesterday I was otherwise occupied so I will try to recap with the major headlines and videos to bring us up to date on what is happening in Peru with Joran van der Sloot.
It certainly is a tragedy for this young girl that was found dead, but as I have found by covering this story for the last five years what one reads or hears from the media is not always correct. I guess we will all have to wait and see what unfolds here. Hopefully Joran will turn himself in and have some credible answers to all the questions regarding what happened between him and Stephany Tatiana Flores Ramirez, in that Peruvian hotel room. Until then I will bring you the news here as it breaks.
