As of May 30, 2010 Natalee Holloway will have been missing five long years. She disappeared on the island of Aruba back in May of 2005, while on a Senior celebration trip with other classmates from Mountain Brook High School, Alabama. She was last seen by her classmates getting into a grey Honda with Joran van der Sloot, Deepak and Satish Kalpoe leaving the restaurant Carlos 'n Charlies in downtown Orangestad, Aruba. After driving around for a time with these young men it has been said that the Kalpoes dropped Joran and Natalee off at an area on the beach called the Fisherman Huts where they spent time together. Joran still maintains that he left Natalee at this beach area and accepted a ride home by Satish Kalpoe. Although, this ride home is disputed by the Kalpoes who deny either of them gave Joran a ride. Never the less Joran did in deed arrive home by 3:30 A.M. as computer and cell phone records support this part of the story. Joran's story of that night can be found here:
As for what happens now, the case remains unsolved but still being investigated in Aruba. Whether or not more answers are forthcoming, that is anyone's guess. Some believe Joran still knows more but Joran contends he told all he knows about that night back in 2005. If Joran does in fact not know what happened that night to Natalee then it would behoove Aruba to continue to exhaust all efforts in this investigation to look in all other directions. Certainly if at all possible Natalee's family deserves to find out what happened to their daughter. In addition Joran if he is totally innocent of disappearing Natalee he deserves to be cleared from any suspicion that remains on him today.
If any events occur that are relevant to this mystery they will all be added to this chapter, immediately as breaking news events. The purpose of this book has always been to honestly and without bias clear up any and all rumors in this case and report just the facts as honestly as possible. Whatever the news brings, you will be able to read it here, first.
Always devoted to Natalee Debbie, the administrator of the site posted this today, in remembrance.

Natalee Missing 60 Months (5 years)
30 May 2005 - 30 May 2010
Today, May 30, 2010, makes 1,827 days - 60 months - 5 years - since Natalee disappeared in Aruba.
Some question why we are still here after all this time. It is because we all understand and embrace the value and importance of life and thus have given our time in an attempt to bring resolution to a family that has for all this time only wanted one thing - to have their precious and much loved daughter returned home.
Natalee has made the word 'life' something to cherish and never take for granted. She has shown us that all life is precious, all life has meaning, and all life demands dignity and respect. She has, through her families, shown us what unending, unconditional, true love means. She has shown us that you can reach for higher goals, that you can be better than you were before, and that you can make a difference.
Do something special on this May 30th in honor of Natalee. Do not memorialize her, but rather pay tribute to her. Let people know that you still have hope and that you want them to have hope too - that she is important - that her life has meaning - that you care.
We hold true to the belief that everything happens for a reason. That is why we continue to be here season after season. We can not dwell on the past or the things that may have been done, but rather direct our thoughts and our focus on the days to come. There is no returning to yesterday and we do not know what tomorrow will bring, so we must make each day that comes a day of hope and promise for Natalee and her family. Sorrow looks back, worry looks around, but faith looks up!

Five years later Beth speaks about what she is doing now.
