Tragedy literally brought the two together. They met through an agency that books their speeches about losing their daughters. Ramsey's wife, Patsy died of ovarian cancer last year. Beth says she draws strength from John, although she continues to take one day at a time. Beth also shared some never-before-seen shots of Natalee growing up. She's just back from Aruba, where she encouraged authorities to continue their investigation into Joran van der Sloot. Van der Sloot, who was initially arrested in Natalee's disappearance but denied wrongdoing, was later released without charge. Beth is certain that the body of her daughter will probably never be recovered. Nowadays, Beth spends much of her time speaking to students about staying safe while traveling. "I feel good about my mission. I know it's too late for Natalee, it's too late for me, but it's not too late for others." |
Some people would have problems with this part of the interview where they say, "She's just back from Aruba, where she encouraged authorities to continue their investigation into Joran van der Sloot. Van der Sloot, who was initially arrested in Natalee's disappearance but denied wrongdoing, was later released without charge." At no time when Beth was in Aruba did she meet or talk with any authorities, so it is very unclear why the Inside Edition article would say this?
You can hear Inside Edition say, Beth encouraged authorites to continue the investigation into Joran van der Sloot. Media once again seems to take great liberty with what is the truth!
