Help from Texas is on the way

Holloway family brings in Texas EquuSearch

In a second major announcement the Holloway family would show their frustration with the local search efforts by hiring the Texas EquuSearch Recovery Team, a group made up of volunteers, that would carry out their own search of the island. Paul Reynolds would tell reporters that the family hopes by hiring their own search team more useful searches will be conducted on the island. Reynolds will add, "they are going to help us search for Natalee in ways we could not before."

A member of Texas EquuSearch said that although the group has a verbal agreement from Aruban Prime Minister Nelson Oduber to bring three dogs in, there have been delays in getting official permits in place. TES as it is called plans to have his group fully operational by Friday June 24, 2005.

Tim Miller, director and founder of Texas EquuSearch, said most of the 24 member search team, including eight divers and a dog, will arrive by Friday night. Three more dogs and their handlers will arrive on Saturday."I feel very, very optimistic that we are going to take Natalee back to Alabama where she belongs," Miller said. Some of the team has already searched the wetlands area and also the northern tip of the island near the lighthouse, combing the beaches with dogs.
